Tourist places: 
1.Dharali is a small and vibrant hamlet, situated just 3 km from Harsil. Connected via motorable road, it offers picturesque views that are simply gorgeous.
2. Mukhwas Village is one of the popular tourist attractions of Harsil located just 1 km from it. It is the winter home of Goddess Gangotri as Gangotri itself is prone to heavy snowfall making the place pure and beautiful.
3. Sattal is a group of seven fresh water lakes with nature's bounty and loads of migratory birds and panoramic vistas. Situated in Kumaon Region at an elevation of 1370 m above the sea level, the area boasts of its cluster of seven interconnected lakes namely: Panna, Naldaymanti Tal, Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Bharat and Sukha Tal flanked by lush green cover of oaks and pines.
4. Gangnani, situated 26 km before Harsil is mostly known for its hot water spring. A beautiful place with picture perfect view of Himalayas attracts tourists in large number every year

 TOURIST PLACE NEAR SUNDER HOMESTAY HARSIL

 

 

Located at a distance of 6 km from the Harsil, Dharali is known for its apple orchards. The place is situated on the bank of the River Ganga which is surrounded by pine trees. The Shiva Temple in the village is the chief attraction there.   Known as the home of Goddess of Gangotri, the village is situated just 1 km away from Harsil. Gangotri region experiences heavy rainfall during winters. Thus, during this time the devotees worship village as the gates of Gangotri, whenever it remains temporarily closed due to rainfall.   Surrounded by Thalay Sagar, Bhrigupanth, Jogin 1, Jogin 2, and other Himalayan peaks, Kedar Tal is situated at an elevation of 4750 m. It is one of the highest lakes in Uttarakhand and attracts a number of tourists. Moreover, the place also offers trekking for adventure enthusiasts.   Blessed with elevated grassland that is bedded with snow during the winters, gurgling streams, dense alpine forest and rich variety of flowers, the Dodital Trek is one of the picturesque treks in the Garhwal Himalayan region. The trek originates from the Bhagirathi valley, which is nestled at an altitude of 1,350 meters, and passes through a mysterious forest and ascents gently to a lofty height of 4,150 meters to Darwa Top. Dodital is often dubbed Ganesh-ka-Tal and is considered as one of the sacred lakes in the Garhwal Himalayan region as it is believed that it is the birthplace of Lord Ganesha, one of the Hindu deities. The captivating natural ambiance surrounding the serene lake is ideal for camping overnight. There is an opportunity to explore the Asi Ganga valley. There are subsidiary treks transporting one from Asi Ganga to Bhagirathi Ganga valley and to the Yamuna valley and vice versa.<BR>The Dodital Trek, which is also one of the winter treks in the Indian Himalayan region starts from Sangamchatti and heads to Agoda village nestled at an altitude of 2,250 meters. The trail passes through the river Asi Ganga and is followed by gentle ascends and descends and passes through a secluded village, Bhebra. From Agoda, a 16 kilometers journey that passes through the beautiful forest of Rhododendron leads to Manjhi, which is tucked at a mighty height. It offers such an environment that forms a haven for trekkers to camp overnight. The trek from Manjhi turns towards Dodital, which is approximately 6 kilometers away and is located at a height of 3,307 meters. The sprawling natural beauty, refreshing climate and tranquil water of the freshwater lake make camping here an absolute bliss. Further, a walk of 5 kilometers to Darwa Top that passes through narrow gorges, birch forest, rocky colonies, and involves a series of rivulet takes you to the stunning Bandarpunch peak and Swargarohini range.<BR>The Dodital Trek, which is undertaken all throughout the year, is considered as one of the easy to moderate treks in the Garhwal Himalayan region that is located in Uttarakhand; the duration of the trail is approximately 7 – 8 days. During the winter season much of the trail has to be done over a thick bed of snow that expunges after crossing the village of Agoda.   If there was a contest where a place has to win for being a dreamland in India, it would have been Dayara Bugyal. Mostly placed next best to Bedni Bugyal, Dayara is an alpine meadow that can have nature lovers lose themselves in its mesmeric beauty. Situated near Barsu Village in Uttarkashi District of Garhwal Region, the Bugyal is spread in an area of 28sq.km at an average altitude of 3340m above the sea level. The meadow is a mesmeric riot of colour that can melt hearts and at the same entice visitors to settle down right here in the lap of Mother Nature. Stretched in the vast area, the meadow is adorned with the naturally formed clear water bodies that often show the breathtaking reflections of surrounding lofty mountains and peaks. There are flower-strewn paths that run parallel to streams and their brooks that run across the meadow that added charm like no other. No wonder the shepherds who took their cattle for grazing here always came back stories of surreal place which may have resemblance to paradise.<BR>In the summer season, Dayara Bugyal becomes an ideal place to camp in Garhwal Region. Trekking tours are planned in a large number during summers when weather remains pleasant and the sky is clear enough to see the far-flung snow-clad mountains adorning the silhouette of the region. Bandarpoonch, Black Peak and Bhagirathi Peaks are the prominent mountains visible distinctly from this alpine meadow. A large variety of flowering plants are responsible for the picture perfect scenery of Dayara. The pristine surroundings and insignificant human interference are features that make this meadow an ideal camping destination in India. On the other side, the chilly winters bring in a lot of snow with it that completely layers the meadows. In winter Dayara convert into a potential Nordic as well as Alpine skiing destination in India. Since, camping is not possible here during the winter, skiers can get accommodation at Bhatwari and few villagers’ huts are also made available.
                 
Located in the Uttarkashi district of Garhwal Himalayas, Gangotri Glacier is considered as one among the most pious glaciers. Being the source of the sacred River Ganges, Gangotri Glacier is significant to Hindu pilgrims. The glacier is around 30 km in length and 4 km in width. A paradise for trekkers and adventure enthusiasts, this glacier is a renowned tourist hotspot.<BR>Popularly known as Gaumukh, the terminus of the glacier resembles a cow’s mouth. Bordering China, this glacier also feeds River Bhagirathi. The trek to Gangotri Glacier is a legendry one and features an exhilarating trail. The route is challenging but it opens up to some of the most fascinating views of enchanting Himalayan Peaks like Shivling, Bhagirathi, Meru and many more. Gangotri glacier is one of the most intriguing natural wonder. Characterizing glacial troughs, crevasses, waterfalls, smooth rock walls and supraglacial lakes, it stands testimony to the beauty of creation. Trekkers in search of true bliss must head out for a trek to the Gangotri Glacier.   Gangotri Dham, located at the height of 3,100 meters (approx.) on the Himalayan range in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, holds a very special place in the hearts of Hindus. It is one of the four sacred and important pilgrimage sites of Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. Amid all the natural beauty and grace which the mountains and altitude of the place affords, what makes Gangotri one of the holiest places is its intimate connection with River Ganga (the Ganges).<BR>Ganga Maa (mother), the much revered deity of Hindus, originates from the Gangotri glacier at Gaumukh which is some 18 km from the Gangotri town. It is said that Goddess Ganga came to earth in order to wash away the sins of King Bhagirathi's ancestors. From the folds of mythology till the present time, Ganga River has always been a sacred source of purity for the mankind. Coming to Gangotri for a religious tour is not only a religious duty but a spiritual calling too.   Harsil makes for a great base point for many exhilarating treks in Uttarakhand. 1. We kindly remind you that this is home stay and drugs are not tolerated. If smoking any durg use is noticed by the host management they are allowed to charge a fine up to Rs. 5000 and proceed an early check out.
2. If any breakeage or any spoilage is found in the property the property has right to ask for amount of breakage depending on brakage.
3. If any spoilage is found in the bed, bedsheet,pillow, towels with any kind of stain in it. The property has right to charge for the amount.
4 The property has the right to to charge for the wholw day if the checkout goes beyound the checkout time without informing you.
5. Breakfast is served form 8 to 10 am, lunch form 12.30 to 3.00 pm and dinner from 8 to 10 pm.
6. Pets are not alloweded.
7. Bills must be settled on presentation personal cheques are not accepted.
8. Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss or damage to the guest belongings.
9. At the time of check in every individual guest staying in the hotel is require to present a valid gov. identity proof which mentions the residential address. In case of foreign national, valid passport along with visa is required. Also the guests are requested to carry the reservation letter at the time of arrival.
